Description
SNAP-SEAM standing-seam panels, with minor striations or flat-surfaces are designed for easy installation and respond well in high wind environments. SNAP-SEAM panels are suitable for new or re-roof construction applications in commercial, industrial, educational and military settings. Panels install directly over open frame structures or solid deck. Panels seam using a compression lock seam. SNAP-SEAM panels available in 12", 16" and 18" widths for flexible design options.
Application
Roof covering for new or re-roof construction applications available in 22- or 24-gauge pre-painted Galvalume®, meeting CRRC, Energy Star and LEED standards. Also suitable for wall applications.
Material Content
SNAP-SEAM panels are LEED and EnergyStar certified with a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled steel content. Each panel features a “Cool” paint finish of Fluoropon® PVDF SR Reflective with 70% KYNAR®. The grade 50 (50ksi) and (65psi) steel coil comes in AZ55 bare or AZ50 painted Fluoropon® with 70% KYNAR®. Clips available in 1¾" height and 3¾" width (UL-90) and 1¾" height and 2" width (standard) die-formed, 18-gauge, zinc coated galvanized steel.
Industry Notes
“Oil-canning,” an inherent waviness in sheet metal, is an industry-accepted condition and not cause for rejection.
SNAP-SEAM female side rib with factory-applied mastic provides excellent air and water test results: ASTM E 1646 (water), and ASTM E 1680 (air). Sealants and mastics meet all required MSDS environmental and performance standards, including a non-drying, non-hardening, butyl rubber-based seam and panel sealant and non-drying, non-hardening, butyl-based tape mastic for eave, end lap, ridge, rake and miscellaneous flashings. Fasteners
14" x 1" SDLL or hemmed conditions offer a Total System, weather-tight warranty for up to 35 years for the roof assembly, materials and finish.
Secondary Fasteners
14" x 7/8" or 12" x 1" SD. All specifications for fasteners provided upon request, including MSDS sheets and testing data required for specific projects.
Testing
SNAP-SEAM panels have been tested to meet ASTM E 1592 (current), IBC (International Building Code current), ASTM E 1646 (water), ASTM E 1680 (air), UL 580 Class A, ASTM E 108 Fire, UL Class 120, FM, Florida Product Approval, Class 90 Winduplift and UL Test for Impact Resistance (hail). Data

Warranty
SNAP-SEAM metal roof systems offer a TOTAL SYSTEM WARRANTY of up to 35 years. May include the insulation and 22-gauge metal deck and may be non-prorated and non-depreciating. No Dollar Limit (NDL) warranty available up to 20 years. All warranties transferable to a subsequent owner within warranty guidelines.
Contractor Certification
All contractors must be ACE certified for all warranted projects. Re-certification required every three years. All inspections by third-party Registered Roof Consultants, (RCI).
Flashings
Flashing materials available in 22-, 24- and 26-gauge 50,000 psi yield, following SMACNA guidelines (ASTM A446-76 grade 50). |
