Description
SOFFIT panels feature either a flush or 1" reveal interlocking connection that conceals all fasteners from view. Available in a selection of panel stiffener spacings with minor striations, smooth-surface or perforated aluminum. Spacing for “V” rib stiffener: 3/6/3" (H), 4/4/4" (V), minor striations to appear smooth with no stiffener ribs. Perforated in .032 aluminum for venting.
Application
SOFFIT panels designed for extended eave overhang or for canopy liners to enhance building exteriors. Panels install over open framing or solid surface substrate and are suitable for vertical or horizontal application.
Material Content
SOFFIT panels meet LEED, CRRC and Energy Star requirements with a minimum of 30% post-consumer content recycled steel. Panels consist of 24- or 26-gauge Galvalume® coated steel (non-perforated) or .032 aluminum (perforated). SOFFIT panels feature a “Cool” paint finish of AIM P-3000 Fluoropon® PVDF SR Reflective with 70% KYNAR® or AIM P-2000 Weather-X® Siliconized Polyester paint, optional Siliconized Polyester. The grade 50 (50ksi) and (65psi) steel coils comes in AZ55 bare or AZ50 painted Fluoropon® with 70% KYNAR®. Concealed fasteners provide a clean, smooth interlocking design. Each panel is 12" in width with a flush or revealed inter-lock.

Industry Notes
“Oil-canning,” an inherent waviness in sheet metal, is an industry-accepted condition and not cause for rejection.
Panel Length
Maximum length for the SOFFIT Panel, 45'. Minimum length for
non-perforated SOFFIT panel is 6'5". Minimum length for perforated SOFFIT panel
is 4'.
Warranty
SOFFIT panels come with a standard 20-year material and paint finish warranty and can be included in our TOTAL SYSTEM weather-tight warranties.
Contractor Certification
All contractors must be ACE certified for all warranted projects. Re-certification required every three years. All inspections by third-party Registered Roof Consultants, (RCI).
Flashings
Flashing materials are available in 24- and 26-gauge 50,000 psi yield, following SMACNA guidelines (ASTM A446-76 grade 50).
Color Selection
SOFFIT panels, manufactured from steel substrates, are available in Fluoropon® (Kynar 500), Weather-X® (Siliconized Polyester) or Acrylic Coated Galvalume® finishes. Soffit panels manufactured from aluminum substrates are available in Fluoropon® (Kynar 500). |
